Health Monitor - Retention
How long the health monitor keeps the tickets it opens, and what's always available in the live picture. For organizational admins.
The retention knob lives on the Tickets side
The health monitor opens tickets; how long those are kept once Resolved is set on the Tickets settings page, not the Health Monitor one. The full rules live in Tickets retention — same retention applies to every ticket regardless of source. The short version:
- Only Resolved tickets are ever retention-deleted. Open and In Progress tickets are kept indefinitely.
- Resolved-ticket retention is configurable in Settings → Tickets.
- Changes take effect on the next hourly retention sweep.
What's always kept (no retention applies)
- The live status of every subject on the Health Monitor page is current state, not retained history — it reflects the latest health events regardless of how long past tickets have been kept.
- A subject's recent transition timeline stays available while the subject exists, so you can see how it got to its current state.
Auto-resolve and retention
When a subject recovers, the monitor auto-resolves its ticket after the resolve debounce. From that moment the ticket is Resolved and the retention clock starts — so a healthy device's tickets age out on the Tickets-retention schedule. A subject that re-fails inside the reopen window reopens the same ticket instead, which resets it to Open and pauses the retention clock.
